After suffering one of their worst days of trade since June yesterday, U.S stocks are looking to make a comeback. U.S stocks reacted to their European counterparts. Major European indices ticked downwards as investors kept an eye on rising fuel prices. Benchmark gas prices in the European Union spiked around 13% overnight. The Euro on the other hand has gone down to its 20-year low. Meanwhile, all eyes are on the Jackson Hole symposium later this week. The Chair of the U.S Federal Reserve Jerome Powell will brief the nation on the state of the U.S economy. Analysts predict that the Central Bank’s commentary will likely remain aggressive towards controlling inflation even at the back of the risk of a recession.
