He will offer “no immediate change or hints of the Fed reversing its present monetary policy,” Spartan’s Peter Cardillo says in a note. “Powell will be diplomatic by offering something for both the hawks and doves, without declaring victory in the inflation fight.” The 10-year is near recent highs, at 4.243%, as is the two-year at 5.037%.
