October 24, 2022Treasury yields are lower ahead of key central bank moves and as bond markets in the U.K. calm down. The ECB is expected to raise rates by 75 basis point Thursday, while the Fed is likely to hike by 75 bp for the fourth consecutive time next week. The two-year Treasury yield trades at 4.483% and the 10-year is at 4.181%. Many analysts expect yields to hover around these levels for as long as the FOMC is forecast to stop hiking when the federal funds target rate, currently at 3%-3.25% range, reaches 4.5%-4.75%. “We are getting very close to final short-term high,” Spartan’s Peter Cardillo says in a note.
