Oil Futures Little Changed Ahead of OPEC Meeting

Crude oil futures are mixed to start the week with support from positive Chinese manufacturing data over the long weekend and expectations that OPEC will keep its output cuts in place at its midweek monitoring committee meeting. “The oil market is focusing on the OPEC+ meeting this week, which we believe will be a non-event as the group elects to stay the course with quota reductions,” Peter Cardillo of Spartan Capital says in a note. WTI for May delivery is up0.1% at $83.26 a barrel, and June Brent is down 0.1% at $86.95 a barrel.
