March 28, 2022The US Treasurys selloff gets a new impetus, with the 10-year at 2.483% after briefly touching 2.50%, a multiyear high, while as the two-year jumps to 2.305%. New York Fed’s John Williams fuels the trend saying there is nothing wrong with a 50-basis point rate increase “if it’s appropriate.” Spartan’s Peter Cardillo says the market is discounting how far the Fed will go in May. “I think if the inflation data in April worsens, we are head for a two [50bps] hike at the next few meetings.”
